3 Places To Find Copper Scrap Metal

Copper scrap metal is some of the most common and valuable scrap metal on the market now days. As of current writing, the market value for copper scrap metal is currently over $2.50 a pound! Copper is a heavy material, so it adds up quickly in weight (and value). Because of the value of copper, it makes sense good scrap metal-ers always have their eye out for a good place to salvage copper. Here are a few places to keep your eye out for copper

Roofing Work- Do you, a family member, neighbor, or friend, plan to go through a roofing project this year? Maybe you should volunteer to help. The copper found in the flashing of a roof can add up quick. Save all the copper at the end of your project, and depending on how large your roof is, you could be in a for a big haul.

Statues & Décor- Copper use to be a popular metal for design work. The metal was involved in the design and production of small and large statues, and incorporated into other design pieces in homes. If you or a family member has an older house with an attic or garage filled up, take a closer look, there could be valuable copper laying around collecting dust.

Household Appliances- When it comes to household appliances, copper, and scrap metaling. The older the better. Older fridges, air conditioners, washers, and dryers are filled with valuable copper. Once again, go look through an older relatives’ garage or attic, you’ll never know what you’ll find!

I had no idea that you could get copper from air conditioners and non-working appliances! I was walking around town recently, and I noticed that people are interested in purchasing copper from people. I'll probably pitch the idea of contacting one to my friend since he lost his money from cryptocurrency.
